Metric Measurement Trivia

Here is some Metric Measurement Trivia for you to ponder. Turn in the answers (with work shown) by Friday, September 28, and receive some Cluck Bucks for your efforts! As always, DO NOT ALLOW ANOTHER STUDENT TO BENEFIT FROM YOUR WORK. JUST SAY NO!

1) Go to http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/.
2) How tall was the tallest man in meters? Convert his height in meters to centimeters.
3) What was the mass (in kilograms) of the heaviest car balanced on a human head? Convert this mass in kilograms to grams.
4) What is the volume of the largest ruby in millimeters cubed? Hint: You will have to do some calculating.
5) Where on Earth was the coldest recorded temperature obtained? How about the hottest? Provide your answer in degrees Celsius. You must provide your source for the answer to this question. Hint: It cannot be found on the Guinness Website.
